Designing Tuesday: My Country Girl Side

When I was in high school, I owned not one, but two blue and white gingham shirts. I spent a whole lot of time wearing one of the shirts + white jean shorts + a big, fat white bow in my hair. At the time, I thought it was cute. OK, I still think it was cute, but I might be wrong.

Anyway, my penchant for gingham clothes might explain why I got a little bit fluttery when I saw Herve Pierre's NYC home on The Selby:

Yes, it looks like gingham threw up everywhere. But is that necessarily a bad thing?

I love gingham! I think this might be a little more than I'd want to look at everyday though. Maybe just the curtains.

I still have a pink gingham shirt I wear.

lol, this is exactly how i feel about blue and white STRIPES. i currently own (and wear) at least 6 shirts and 2 dresses. :) it's probably because they always seem french to me...

really like the gingham room!

citymouse - I might actually get a pink gingham shirt. I like that and it's a little more subtle than blue.

And Sarah - you are totally frenchy french. That would explain all the stripes.
