Motion graphics designer Stefan Nadelman used stop-animation to depict an abridged history of war from WWII to the present...with food representing each country. I wish this had been around when I was in college - it would've made for a great paper in one of my classes, I'm sure (I was an international relations major).
It's just over five minutes long and is really quite captivating. Especially if you're into geopolitical stuff at all...or if you, like me, believe that you can talk about anything in terms of food.
