Cook the Web: Food52's Brown Butter Tomatoes

Maybe my expectations were too high.

After all, the recipe made it sound like these were magical.
Something so far beyond normal tomatoes that I'd never forget them,
Never, ever, ever.

But as it turns out, they just tasted like tomatoes in butter.

That's not a bad thing, of course.
But it's not revolutionary, either.

So, brown butter tomatoes: Not bad, not worth starting a war over.
