Today is Wild Foods Day, National Potato Day (go Ireland!) and American Beer Day (go Budweiser!). Apparently it is also Pollard Family Power Outage Day. Our power went out this morning for no apparent reason…so I’m sitting in the dark.
In other news, today is etiquette expert Emily Post’s birthday (1872). Not specifically food-related, but Post’s life work certainly makes most meals more enjoyable.
And, that’s about it. I suppose I’ll celebrate by being very mannerly, with a beer and wild potato. In the dark.
(Note: The power is back on now. So I can finally post this. No internet without power...somehow I forgot that while I was writing.)
