Trendy: White Wine
From the letter to the editor in the April Food & Wine, to the conversation all around the table the other night at demi (more to come on that), one thing is clear to me: white wine has lost its stigma. Maybe it's because winemakers are a little more careful with their oak these days, so it's possible to find chardonnay that doesn't taste like a tree, or maybe it's just because people are sick of being red wine snobs (and need something new to be snobby about). Whatever it is, it looks like white wine is the drink of choice for Spring 2011.
