I've been thinking about this since last January, when Dara visited Immeasurable Chicken and Waffles on Pratt Street. Her prediction was that we hadn't heard the last of the restaurant, or its three gospel-singing owners, and I think she's right.
But not just because of the food - though according to Dara, whose opinion I trust, it's very good. No, I just think that chicken and waffles is an idea whose time has come. It's ready for its close-up.
It's a perfect combination of comfort food and southern flavors, both of which have been enjoying their own moments in the sun. Plus: chicken and waffles. Both delicious, right? Why shouldn't they have a little time to shine?
