Every one of those kitchens is bigger than mine. :) And I had to laugh at "butler's pantry." I used to live in a house with a butler's pantry bigger than my current kitchen, and a kitchen that was about 4x as large. Oh, and there was another whole pantry room with floor-to-ceiling storage. Oddly enough, it wasn't the best kitchen in which to cook because it was too big. Sigh.

I just want a kitchen with enough counter space and storage room for my small appliances. And maybe an immersion circulator. :)

Here's the thing about THAT much storage - I'd constantly forget what I had, so I'd buy extra. I do that anyway.

One of those tips - the one about knocking a wall out - was specifically inspired by Rodgers Forge kitchens. A bunch of my friends have taken the wall down between the kitchen and dining room - it makes everything feel much bigger. You do lose the dining room, though...

Yeah, that was suggested to me as well, but I do like my dining room. And I hate when cooking smells travel through the entire house. Ideally I'd have a door on my kitchen.
