Crush

For anybody wondering about Belvedere's latest addition, Crush, the minx and her husband ate there on opening night.

And it was good! Relief and excitement wash over the land.

As an aside, it always annoys me when I read things like this: "I heard that the reason that restaurant (Taste) didn't succeed was that the neighborhood wasn't supportive."

The minx goes on to say that she and her husband tried to support the place, but it just wasn't worth it. Same with us. I'm as sorry as anyone that Taste didn't work out, but chefs/owners, please don't blame the customer. The community around Belvedere Square find it in their hearts to support the rest of the merchants. We'd have been happy to see Taste flourish. If the food-service-price equation had just been a little more realistic. But failing in that regard is not the fault of the customer.

But onward and upward. I can't wait to try Crush.
