Old School Thursday: Weird, Creamy & Slimy Edition

Today is a weird, random day in food history, indeed. It’s National Fettucine Alfredo Day. Eat up, cream sauce lovers.

Also today, in 1989, apparently it rained sardines in Ipswich Australia. Not all over the town, either – these sardines were specific to the yard of a couple named Harold and Debra Degan. If that’s a Biblical omen, I just don’t know what it means.

And that’s about it. Sardines and alfredo. What a strange, strange day.

Thanks, as always, to foodreference.com for the information.
