Pig isn't the only thing we've been experimenting with around here lately. We've been getting pretty primal, too, cooking over an open flame. That is, if you consider asparagus and steak on a copper firepit "primal."
Two weeks ago, we had a nice little fire on the patio in the late afternoon. So nice that Cooper decided not to light the grill at all - instead, he cooked dinner right on top of the fire:
