This Wired list of "disruptive foods" is pretty interesting - it's about food that has the potential to change how we eat as individuals and how "food" works as an industry, and it hits on physical, psychological, social, and economic points.
I don't know enough about the bigger picture of agriculture and food science to know if the Wired writers have written a good list, but I do know one thing: non-sentient meat will always freak me out.

Interesting article! I agree, the non-sentiment meat doesn't sound too appetizing. I'm kind of turned off by the pancake-mix-in-a-spray-can too. My friend calls pancake mix "the big ripoff" because pancake batter is so easy to make, and the spray can just takes it one step further. I wonder what it tastes like?
