I watched a little Fine Living tonight, including an episode of The Insider's List on the best mail order food resources. The show covered a variety of types of food, from steak to cheese to jams, and provided a solid case for each of the vendors it featured. Very helpful show if you're looking for hard-to-find ingredients, or if you live in an area without good specialty shops. The full list is at the link.
My interest was most piqued by EthnicGrocer.com. It's name is pretty self-explanatory - it's a web site offering a super wide variety of ethnic food products. The owner is Indian (living in America) and started the company after watching his sisters spend tons of time just shopping for the good, authentic Indian ingredients they wanted. Great idea, and as far as I can tell, great selection.
Good show, all around. The useful sort.
